What a relief!!! We passed the rough plumbing and electrical inspections. Finishing up the chinking inside today. And then (drum roll please) we are on to sheetrock, starting to see the end in sight.

Moving Right Along
We are staying as busy as possible to get the house done by Christmas. We have completed the siding on the gables with board and baton, installed all the flooring and have started on the doors and windows.
Since this post the doors are all in and we have started to sand the exterior walls and prep for staining and we will begin to install windows this weekend.

Update
Since our last post we have gained much ground.
We have finished the second floor t&g.
We have plumbed the main line into the house and ran the sewer line out.
We framed the first floor, insulated it and covered it with osb.
And we have sanded the entire first floor logs.

Working on The Floor Joists
For the past few weeks we have been sanding logs, notching logs to fit hangers, chinking and setting the floor joists.
A Typical Week
Dad and Blane jr. head off to work around 7 AM every day while Mom and the children focus on daily activities including homeschooling, keeping house and preparing meals. When Dad and Blane jr. return home around 6 in the evening we eat dinner together then we gather together for family worship when we sing, read scripture and pray. After this time we have been running work lamps out to the cabin and work until 9:00 or so. Then on Saturdays we usually get started around 8:00 in the morning and work till about 5:00 then we prepare for the Lords day. Sundays are the best! We meet with our church family for worship and fellowship.
